Flora Dress - Elegance & Elephants

Today is my day on the tour for Elegance & Elephant's Flora Dress and Tunic. It isn't often that I sew for my younger daughter, since she has inherited so many dresses from her big sister. But when she saw this unicorn double gauze fabric and begged for a pretty dress, I couldn't really say no. Especially since big sister got the same fabric but in purple, which you might remember seeing HERE.

Kyoto Tee

As you know, I'm all about ruffles (funny for someone who doesn't particularly enjoy - or is good at - gathering, but who said I was logical). When I saw the Kyoto Sweater/Tee from Papercut Patterns, I knew I had to make it for myself one day. And that day has come.

Lotte Martens Fabric Tour

Not all fabrics are created equal. Some of them just make you want to swoon, and this Lotte Martens Clarias is one of those.

Blush Fabric Tour

To say that I was thrilled when Dana of Made Everyday contacted me to ask if I would like to be part of her Blush Fabric Tour would be a massive understatement. In fact, I double-checked the message, thinking that maybe it was some kind of mistake, and really she meant to be contacting someone else.

Issie Top Pattern Tour

Ahhhh autumn. My favorite time of year. Golden leaves, cool weather, and bananas. Okay, maybe not bananas, but when I saw these cheerful bananas in a french terry, how could I say no to a fun autumn dress?

If you have been sewing for any length of time, I am sure you will have seen some (if not all) of the beautiful clothes that Ines of La Folie Sewing Booth has made for herself and her daughters. I am so happy today to join a group of friends in showing her just how much we all love her and have been inspired by her -- Inespired!

Isn't this illustration amazing?? It was created by the incredible Toya!!

Sointu Kimono Tee by Named

The weather hasn't been very autumn-like over here, but I am definitely looking forward to it. In anticipation of the cool, crisp weather (which probably won't arrive until mid-October?!), I made myself a cozy sweater tee.

Puffed Sleeves and Pretty Dresses

One of my favorite books from my childhood is Anne of Green Gables. I was overjoyed when the mini-series by Sullivan Entertainment came out, and watched it rapturously with my sister. Everyone has their favorite Anne moments, and one of mine was when Anne revealed her love of pretty dresses. Or more specifically, puffed sleeves.

Penny Dress Around The World

Summer has taken over in our household, and I have to admit that my sewing has slowed down considerably. Which is not to say that I haven't wanted to sew. Luckily I had been invited by the amazing Bettina of Stahlarbeit to join a group of very talented women in sewing a pattern from a new-to-me designer. It's the Penny Dress from Sew Over It.

A Bridgetown Dress

You know those memes that go something like, "What I think I look like vs What I really look like"? Well, that was definitely the case when I saw these photos, hahaha. I'm definitely not a glamour gal!

Laure Dress from Straight Grain

I am so happy to be part of the Straight Grain Laure Dress tour! When I first caught a sneak peek of this dress, I couldn't contain my excitement. It's pretty much how I feel every time An releases a new pattern (and I own them all!).

The Marlene Top for Naeh-Connection

I've been sewing a lot more with knits this year, which has been one of my resolutions (to conquer my fear of knits, that is). Fortunately, it coincides with my daughters' recent preference for knitwear.

Sewing Happiness Winter Tour 2017

Like many of the other ladies this week, when Sanae invited me to join her Sewing Happiness (World) Book Tour, I was thrilled beyond belief. Sanae has been a sewing/creative hero of mine for the longest time.

Women's Waterfall Raglan from Chalk and Notch

What better way to start off the new year than with a new women's pattern from Chalk and Notch?

It's Gabriela's first women's pattern for her collection, and it couldn't be more perfect!
